The HUSKY HOWLER

Week of October 17, 2022. ISSUE 10

Dear Hillcrest Families & Staff,

We have reached mid-October and that means our focus is on School Safety, Evacuation Drills, and teaching students to Say No to Drugs. We are proud to announce that we will be honoring and celebrating more than 25 students who have successfully Reclassified. That means they have acquired proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing the English Language and met grade level standards in the Spring. Thank you to the parents and families who joined us last week for the insightful and informative presentations on School Nutrition, Bullying, and Helping students in Dual Language. And lastly, I would like to Congratulate Ms. Yvonne Ip who has been promoted to Office Assistant.

Habit # 2: Begin with the End in Mind

Here at Hillcrest we teach students to have a plan and to set goals. Our students in Grades 3- 6 all use a Daily Planner. What do you use at home to plan/set goals? Send us a picture of how you and your family plan/set goals together
