Did you apply to be a Shady Creek Counselor?
If so, Shady creek interviews will be held on February 1st at 10:30 a.m.
This it typically a panel interview. What does this mean? Great question! This means that educators from most MJUSD elementary sites who will be participating in Shady Creek will be here to interview you all, as a group.

π¨βππ©βπ Seniors, it's that time of the year, get your cap & gown ordered!
How to orderπ? πββοΈGreat question seniors, look at the instructions below:
- Click on the button down below.
- Click on "Shop your School," type in "South Lindhurst High School"
- Click on the link
- Click on "Shop Grad Products"
- Click on "Grad Gear & Apparel"
- Click on "Cap/Gown & Tassel"
- Complete the information.
All of the gowns are shipped to the school in a unit. The complete price will be $32.48 and that includes the taxes and shipping. Gowns will be handed out a few weeks prior to graduation.
You can also order additional items if you like, but the only required items to order are the cap and gown unit. Please call if you have additional questions
Feb 23rd: Blue Zones: Craft Activity to Donate to Local Senior Home Facility
Feeling πΌοΈπ¨ crafty? Join Ms. Jennifer from Blue Zones during lunch time to create crafts for some of our local seniors. What better way then to give back to our local facilities.
A Message from Rebecca Rolufs: College Savings Account
Kids in grades 1-12 may receive up to $1,500 in college savings
The State of California offers eligible low-income public school students the following awards in a CalKIDS college savings account, as applicable:*
$500 automatic deposit for eligible low-income public school students enrolled in 1st - 12th grade
$500 additional deposit for eligible students identified as foster youth
$500 additional deposit for eligible students experiencing homelessness
To confirm your childβs eligibility and secure a college savings account, please register at https://calkids.org/. Your student will need their SSID number, or a unique code included in a notification letter that has been mailed to you. If you need help accessing your studentβs SSID number, please contact the MJUSD College and Career Department at (530) 749-6917. This program is currently only offered as a one-time payment. Students who have already registered do not need to reregister. This is an ongoing program.
