BOXES STUDY UNIT
Ms. Ginni's Classroom
Dear Parents,
Our class is beginning a study of boxes. We think boxes would be exciting and interesting to study. We need your help in gathering a collection of boxes- different sizes, types, varied shapes, old boxes.
Here is a list to get you thinking about boxes, but feel free to send in any type of box.
- empty paper boxes (cereal boxes, cracker boxes, paper-clip boxes, and other small boxes)
- food boxes
- wooden boxes
- plastic boxes
- music boxes
- tissue boxes
- appliance boxes
- flower boxes
- matchboxes
- nesting boxes
As we study boxes, we are going to be learning many important concepts and skills in literacy, math, science, social studies and arts. We will also be using thinking skills to investigate, solve problems, and make predictions.
