Remembering your Love for Education
- Do you remember why did you become an educator?
- Do you remember your first year of teaching and the hope and desire you had to reach students? What did that motivate you to do?
- What was your first concrete evidence of success in your teaching, and how did you it influence your passion and embolden you to use your gifts to unlock the gifts in your students?
- What did it feel like when you realized that you had made an impact in the life of one of your students?
We all have our own unique path that lead us to become educators. Some of us knew since we were young that we wanted to be a teacher. Others started out on a different journey and then took a turn that lead them into the classroom. Whatever your journey has been let's take time this week to reflect and remember why we LOVE to be in education. After all we have a very important responsibility in our hands to educate the men and women of tomorrow. As Nelson Mandela said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
