Veterans Day at KP - Wednesday, November 11th
During the day, in honor of our Veterans' service to our country and its citizens, KP students will participate in service projects throughout the day. Each team has adopted a project/projects of interest and will communicate with families about what they are doing along with any supports needed. Thank you for supporting our focus on citizenship.

Chess Anyone?
Introducing: The King Philip Chess Program!
All chess-interested students grades 6 through 8 are invited to participate in the session, which will include a program orientation meeting for parents. Practice play and lessons from basic to beginning intermediate chess. Emphasis will be on developing basic skills and providing the opportunity for at least weekly practice play. The Program will be a combination of group lessons and free play.
The Program will hold an introductory session on December 15 at 6pm to determine students’ interest for a permanent school-year long program for 2015-2016. This would be a fee-based offering. Please complete the form below to indicate interest.

"Jazz for a Cause" Benefit Concert
We are excited to announce “Jazz for a Cause” Benefit Concert that will be held on Sunday, November 15th from 7 to 8:30pm at Trinity-on-Main, 69 Main Street, New Britain, CT. Trinity-on-Main is a beautiful venue for Jazz music and is on the National Register of Historic Places.This is going to be a wonderful event that features both Hall jazz bands, Concert Jazz Band and Jazz Band, and two middle school jazz bands, Bristow and King Philip.

Come and learn how you can make a difference in the lives of West Hartford children by
expanding your parental toolbox to include leadership and advocacy skills. The Parent
Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) trains, inspires and empowers parents to become
effective advocates for children. To learn more about this dynamic program, please join us for an information session on Friday, November 13th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the
