Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department (previously known as the Parks and Recreation Department) Community Review Questionnaire
The Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) has developed a Strategic Plan which takes an internal look at our staffing structure and defines priority service improvements and investments, identifies our new vision, mission and goals for the future, and describes a new approach to the way we do business:Diverse, Dynamic, Together.
As many in the community know, services and staff were cut considerably during the recession. While we continue to rebuild, this Strategic Plan helps us assess resources and improve the quality of our services as we strive to meet the needs of the entire city. The plan is a guiding document for YPCE Staff, identifying strategies to improve operations and enhance parks, recreation opportunities, neighborhoods and youth services.
The Master Plan is the next step to more strongly involve our residents in establishing priorities for YPCE programs and services. Now, as we prepare to update YPCE’s Master Plan, we want to check with you to make sure we are on track. We also want to learn more about your priorities.
Please take a moment to respond to the questions on our brief survey. This survey represents the first step in our efforts to involve our community in establishing parks and recreation priorities for all of Sacramento; your participation and confidential input would be greatly appreciated!
All responses must be received before midnight on Sunday, 9/30.
