A Message from Mr. Anderson
I would also like to give a shout out to our entire counseling crew in the District as this week is National School Counselor's Appreciation! Our counselors have done such an amazing job helping all of us get through some very hard days this last year. We should all thank them for their expertise, empathy, love and support!
Lastly, as part of our next ROARS assembly, we are looking for parents to email us a picture of your child working on his/her school work at home! Please send to kismith.cscsd.org As soon as possible!

Monday Work Pick Up
School Counselor's Corner - Mrs. Sears
National School Counseling Week gives every school counselor the opportunity to reflect once a year on their program. This year the theme is School Counselors: All In for All Students. I can truly say that this school year has been just that all in for all students. For me, I have grown throughout this year by realizing going all in for my students can look very different. It can be zooming with them once a week, checking in to chat for a few minutes in the morning, calling them when they are at home on their virtual day to help solve a math problem to seeing them in my office on a weekly basis. No matter what I am doing with my students I can say that I am all in because they are a part of my school family and I would do everything in my capacity to be there and support them through anything. Thank you for your continual support for your families and I look forward to collaborating in the future!

Message from Ms. Powell- Home/School Counselor
I hope everyone had a great January. Here are some reminders to everyone:
If you would like to participate in the BackPack Program please reach out to me, we have a few openings.
Please remember that lost and found is housed in my office. If your child/children are missing items, please reach out or have them come down and look for it. All lost and found items get donated at the end of each month.
Also, in addition to the After School Program, for those of you who may be struggling with your kiddos and virtual learning there are several programs ProAction offers that may help. You may find the following programs to be of help during this unique and sometimes difficult time.
As always, if there is anything you need or any questions you have, please reach out to me at 527-9800 EXT 3105.
Have a wonderful February everyone!

Important Information For Parents When Needed For Reference
School Info App - Communicating with your child's teacher(s)
How to Get messages from your child's teachers: One important way to get messages from your child's teacher and to make sure that you are getting updates from the school is to go to "My Alerts". Once in "my alerts" make sure that "Enable Push Notifications" is turned on and that all of the buttons are turned "on".
Next... look at the bottom of the screen, you will see the picture of a bell next two an icon of two people. Click on the icon of the 2 people. This will then bring up teachers names along with icons to turn on notifications. Search out your child's teacher(s) and turn on those notifications.
If you would like to send your child a message, go back to the main screen and click "conversations" this then works just like text messaging on your smart phone. Make sure to put a title to the message so you know who you are sending it to when you go back to the app.
New Things!
- The student absence and Tech Help Forms are now in a button on the first page of the app! Just click and you can fill everything out on your smartphone!
A word of advice - Always check and make sure when you are in the app that you are in the correct school. Make sure that it is the Campbell Savona Elementary school:)
