Focus: Digital Learning Week #3
Digital Learning Week #3:
Dear Students and Families,
As you know, we will continue to have Digital Learning Days after Spring Break. Your teachers have been hard at work creating lessons through eCLASS that will keep you on track in your learning for the semester. Your work on Digital Learning Days is important and your teachers are ready to support you in your learning. If you have any questions, please email your teacher so you can stay on track.
Starting on Monday, April 6th to April 10th, rather than having you work on all of your classes each day, your teachers will be creating "block" lessons and you will only get work in your classes every other day. The details are listed below.
Blue Days: Language Arts, Science, and Connection A
White Days: Math, Social Studies, Foreign Language/Study Skills, Connection B
Throughout the week of April 6-10, we will have Digital Learning Days.
Gwinnett County Public Schools will return to digital learning on Monday, April 6. As part of the school district’s support during Digital Learning Days, also beginning Monday student meals once again will be available for pick-up at the 68 designated school sites, or by delivery at school bus stops.
On Tuesday, April 7, the meal service will expand to include both breakfast and lunch items distributed at the same time. The pick-up at school sites will take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. every school day. Gwinnett school buses will resume their delivery routes, making stops at regular bus stops between 11 a.m. and noon in designated clusters. It is important to remember that in order to receive a meal, the child must be present at the school site or at the bus stop when the bus arrives. These meals are available at no cost to anyone 18 years of age or younger, no matter which school a child attends. A list of school sites offering meals for pick up, and the clusters and schools where delivery is provided, can be found on the district website.
Enjoy the rest of Spring Break and remember that we all play a role in stopping the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands frequently, stay home and away from others if you are ill, and practice social distancing. Keep safe and stay well.

Reminder: Community Service and Action 2019-2020
The IB MYP focus on community service and action is meant to encourage and enable students to:
Generate creative new insights and develop deeper understandings of local and global issues
- Communicate effectively in a variety of situations
- Demonstrate responsible action through, or as a result of, learning
- Appreciate the process of learning in service to and for others and take pride in their accomplishments
At Pinckneyville, we want to expand classroom learning to the community and beyond. To do so, students are encouraged to identify areas where they can apply personal strengths to organizations or areas in need. Students should begin service and action hours and use the log in the front of the student agenda and log hours for the school year on the Pinckneyville Website! (10+ hours by May 1) Be sure to keep proof of service with signatures in your student's agenda book. There will be prizes and awards for top participants!
