March is Music In Our Schools Month! Please join us as we celebrate with the All-County Eisteddfod Chorus concert at Westminster High School on March 18th and our second grade musical “BUGZ!” here at Linton Springs on March 23rd!

Whoop, whoop! The time has finally come--LSE is going 1:1 in grades 3-5! Every student in grades 3-5 will be assigned their own laptop and power cord. The assigned laptop will follow the student each year until they graduate or move out of CCPS.

Student laptop agreements will be coming home next week for parents to review and sign. With a signed agreement, students may take their laptops home to complete assignments and learn virtually when needed.

If a laptop agreement is not signed/returned, students may use their laptop at school, but will not be permitted to take the laptop home.

Did you know that Linton Springs is a Green School? What is a Green School you might ask? A Green School is a school that supports global sustainability. One of our Green School objectives is Student-Driven Sustainability Practices. Here environmental actions are documented to demonstrate that students are planning, implementing and leading environmental practices.

In support of this goal, Linton Springs is launching Waste-Free Water Bottle Wednesdays. If your child already uses a reusable water bottle each day, kudos are in order! Each Wednesday, we will gather data on the number of reusable water bottles in class and display this data for all to see. It is important for students to understand that they play an active role in "Reduce, Reuse & Recycle".

There may be times throughout the year when the Carroll County Public School System wishes to display student work on school websites, social media, or in publications. If you do not wish to have your child’s art, poetry, writing, etc. appear on school websites, social media, or in publications, please notify the school principal in writing. It is assumed that parents and guardians consent to their child’s work being displayed on school websites, social media, or in publications unless such notification is received.
