Class of 2024 - WELCOME!
Welcome to the eSTEM family! While we are in this period of school closures, we want you to feel prepared to start high school. We know this time may have you feeling stressed or anxious as you move on to a new school and start to meet new people, but as counselors, we're here to help support you with this. We want to be sure you have an easy transition. Please view these resources below which will help your transition between now and the start of the school year in August 2020.
We also encourage Parents and eSTEM Student to take our Pre-Survey. This will help us collect information and allow us to improve our counseling program.

Keep in mind that this plan you draft is a fluid document. Changes can be made at any time to suit your needs. The plan may also change if you earn D/F grades in any classes and need to make up courses. Your counselor will work with you to ensure your eSTEM, a-g, and graduation requirements are met.
The courses are available for view on Parent/Student Connect. Should you need a change in courses, please contact your counselor for adjustments. Keep in mind that students can only take the 6 required courses (which includes band and sports). Other electives cannot be added.
9th Grade To Do List
Summer Program
CNUSD offers two summer programs for qualifying 8th grade students and parents/students should have been contacted by the district already.
Other than the potential math bridge/success camp programs, students should relax this summer because the future summers will be packed!
eSTEM Summer Assignment
Stay tuned for more information regarding the eSTEM summer assignment for English Language Arts and for the eSTEM Science and Engineering Research Project (SERP) preparation information.

Get Involved
Colleges/Universities like to see that students involved in extracurricular activities beyond just focusing on academics. Be sure to participate in clubs and volunteer work that make you a well-rounded person and complete your resume (i.e. joining HOSA for students focusing on medical, joining Solar Cup, Robotics Team, or Manufacturing club for students focusing on engineering, and joining Tech Team for students focusing on computer science).
Check out all the ways to Get Involved. We also have Club Rush a couple times a year for you to check out the various clubs.
ERHS Athletics
Norco College Dual Enrollment
During the spring of 9th grade, the only course available to take is the ILA 3 or GUI 47 course, both of which are introductory courses to college and mandatory for any students interested in taking other DE courses (students choose one of the two to take). Students are not able to take DE elective courses (such as early childhood development, business, and history) until their 10th grade year. DE English and math courses have prerequisites and students typically don't meet those until their 11th or 12th grade years.
Sign ups for DE courses occur in the semester prior to the semester that the student seeks to take a course, (i.e. students sign up for the fall in the spring semester before).
For now, we want you to transition into 9th grade without the added stress of taking a college course. We recommend you don't take any DE courses until at the earliest, 10th grade year.
Campus Map
The eSTEM building classes are T###. Therefore, if you have a class in T304, you'll know it's in the STEM building. The majority of your courses will be in the eSTEM building, however some may be on the main ERHS campus (including PE, Band, Chinese, or Spanish Heritage). Don't worry! Even if you have a class on the main campus, you're still considered an eSTEM student. We utilize facilities and have classes on both campuses as we're a school within a school.
