5th Grade Math/Science Teacher - Brock Intermediate School

All About Me

I love being a Brock Eagle! My family moved to Parker County 11 years ago, and this is my 9th year to teach in Brock. I graduated from Texas Tech University, and I'm proud that my boys have chosen to be Red Raiders too! I have two sons who both graduated from Brock. Tyler (23) just graduated this past May from Texas Tech and now lives and works in Addison, TX. Dylan (20) is a junior at TTU. This means my husband, Jeff, and I are empty nesters, so I love coming to school and spending my days with my school kids!! In my free time, I love to hang out with family and friends, travel, and read. I have a Border Collie mix fur baby named Piper.

I look forward to a terrific 2019-2020 school year!

I am so exited to start a new school year! This year I will be teaching Math and Science and partnering with Mrs. Brawner who will be teaching Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. We love working together and helping our 5th graders reach great heights! I know it will be a fantastic year!

Last year's blog with Mrs. Saxton was over Jon Gordon's book, One Word. It focused on finding your "One Word" and embracing that word all year long.

This year, we are reading another book by Jon Gordon, Power of a Positive Team. It is proving to be another amazing read!!
