Michelangelo was born on March 06, 1475 in Caprese, Italy. He died on February 18, 1564 in Rome, Italy. He went to school and learned what most kids learned that could afford it. During his life he made many pieces of art which include; sculptures, paintings, and portraits. The most famous sculpture is David. His most famous painting was The Last Judgement. He spent a lot of time in Florence, Italy, where he made many works of art. While he lived he enjoyed to write and make art. His patrons were people that could afford the art.

You would be able to see this today in the Sistine Chapel, Italy. This is so significant because the size of it and it was very complex compared to most paintings at the time and also, because of all the detail he put in it. This piece of art resembles humanism because if you look closely at the photograph of it, you will see many imperfect people.
What I find interesting is how he got the painting on the roof of the chapel.
