I Ask the Impossible
“I ask the impossible: love me forever.
Love me when all desire is gone.
Love me with the single mindedness of a monk.
When the world in its entirety,
and all that you hold sacred advise you
against it: love me still more.
When rage fills you and has no name: love me.
When each step from your door to our job tires you--
love me; and from job to home again, love me, love me.
Love me when you're bored--
when every woman you see is more beautiful than the last,
or more pathetic, love me as you always have:
not as admirer or judge, but with
the compassion you save for yourself
in your solitude.
Love me as you relish your loneliness,
the anticipation of your death,
mysteries of the flesh, as it tears and mends.
Love me as your most treasured childhood memory--
and if there is none to recall--
imagine one, place me there with you.
Love me withered as you loved me new.
Love me as if I were forever--
and I, will make the impossible
a simple act,
by loving you, loving you as I do”

TPCAST
- Title- The poem is going to be about someone that asks for things that are not possible to accomplish and she knows that it is impossible but she still asks for those things.
- Paraphrase- Shes asking for the other person to love her through everything and anything and to never let her go and to love her in every way.
- Connotation- Impossible-she thinks that there is no way she can be loved that way Forever- he can love her until death but forever might not be possible Loneliness- it can be good for people that don't enjoy company but no one wants to be alone
- Attitude- The attitude is a little demanding because she want him to love her no matter what and that can be hard sometimes but its also compassionate because she wants him to feel good while loving her
- Shift- There is a shift from line 16 to 17 and it goes from just loving her to loving her to make himself happy again or from demanding to trying to help.
- Title- I was wrong because all she asks for is love from him at all times and when he doesn't feel like loving him which seems impossible for her.
- Theme- The theme of the poem is love because all she talks about is love and making each other happy.
La pared
This connects to my poem because it shows a family and different people around having fun and being happy which is hat she wants in the poem.
Dead love
This connects because she wants him to love her forever even when they are dead so that is why there is a skeleton and a women.
La ultima Cachetada
This is what she didn't want because she just wanted to be loved no matter what and in this picture the guy is hitting her.
Jasper Loco- All I Want Is You - Taken From Chicano Rap Love Dedications 2 - Urban Kings Tv
