Principal's Message
Hello Panther Family,
Happy Friday! ! I hope everyone took advantage of the opportunity to conference with your teacher's this past week. Of course you never need to wait, reach out any time to discuss your child's progress!
Below is some important information to help you prepare for the week ahead.
- Report Cards- Scholars nine week report cards are now viewable in your parent portal. Please take a moment to log in a track the progress they are making. If you have any questions about grades, please reach out to your child's teacher.
- Upcoming Community Board Meetings- This week our board member Mrs. Dove is hosting her monthly meeting, Tuesday, October 18th at 6:30 pm at Seaborn Lee ESI encourage all families to attend to ensure they are in the know!
- Title 1 Parent Engagement- As a Title 1 school, we strive to keep our parents and families engaged with a variety of input opportunities, volunteer opportunities, learning opportunities, and an overall commitment to provide the best for our scholars. We share our yearly parent compacts, which is a collective agreement among families, students, and the school to ensure student achievement. - Device Deployment- The time is here! We have begun device deployment. Students in grades 3-5 will be issued a device to utilize both at school and at home. Devices will remain at school on the day prior to any major assessment. For ALL students to be issued a device families must sign the user agreement in Infinite Campus under documents. Students in K-2 will have usage of devices while at school. Parents and families still must sign a user agreement so their scholar can use the technology. The flyer for information is below.
- Literacy Night- This Thursday is our Literacy Night! Parents and families can come and experience what reading is for their scholars. You will get a schedule and the opportunity to learn alongside our teacher! The full flyer is below. See you at 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 20th!
- Red Ribbon Week- Beginning October 24th through the 28th, we will celebrate red ribbon week, where we pledge to remain drug free! . Each day there are daily themes which teachers and students can participate with.
- November 8th- Remote Learning Day- Coming up November 8th, all FCS schools will engage in a remote learning day. Students will receive their focuses/assignments on Monday, November 7th to complete and engage in on November 8th. All work from that day is to be completed by November 9th
Family Engagement Month – “Family Matters”- November is National Family Engagement month. Join us for "Family Matters," a celebration of FCS families and their role in the education and well-being of their students. There will be interactive workshops, hands-on activities, vendors, entertainment, giveaways, free food, and a few special guests! Students may attend one or all events at four locations from November 14 through November 17. Please RSVP by November 1. The following schools (with links to Eventbrite) are hosting events for the entire district:

- Bear Creek Middle School (November 17)
