Habits for Success
Last week we started looking at each person's emotional bank account. We talked about how to build trust with others by adding or making deposits in their bank account. Each time a student does the right thing it builds trust, one act at a time.

What is a Montessori Work Cycle?
A Montessori work cycle is an uninterrupted block of time. Students will work in blocks of 3 hours or more without outside interruption. During this time, children are able to work in the classroom to complete work. A student's work can either be assigned by the teacher or chosen by the student. Each activity or "piece of work" is first shown to the students in a lesson. A general rule is... No lesson, No touch. In the elementary years, students must record their work. Students in the elementary years use a work plan or an agenda for the week. This helps students find the balance between required work or choice work.
