Amelioration In Transportation
The construction of industries enhanced the development of several thing; one being transporation. Amongst the amelioration of transportation are the development of national roads, railroads, and canals.
National Road
Subsequently after the development of industries, the first national Road was constructed. It of the name of Cumberland Road.
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad
One of the United States oldest rail lines. It was constructed during the 19th century.
Erie Canal
The Erie Canal, runnnig 363 miles long, runs from the Great Lake to the Hudson River. This too was built during the 19th century.
Manufacturing and Industry
Developments of industries and factories -- of the time -- sped up the production of produce. Prior to manufacturing, majority of the things were made by hand, which they sought was quite tedious. Thus they began the development of mills, textiles, and factories. The location in which they construct them usually locates near rivers.
Textiles
One of the great developments in prior ages were textiles. Textiles were and are basically machines that increased the developments of attire. In other words a knitting grandma on steroids.
Mills
Reason for such specified location were to utilize and avail one of the forces of nature; water. Using the force of the water, individuals of the 1800 were able to alter the water into energy sooner consumed by the machines; allowing all it's functionality.
Factories
Factories too were used; not only for clothing, but other necessities as well.
Working Conditions
Majority of the employees allowed to such nightmare were those of the female class. Unlike the laws of modern U.S, all of the females [ no mater the age ] were accepted for labor. These individuals are identified as Lowell Girls. Though exposed upon possibilities of fatal injuries, these gals take, rather are forced to partake deeds in hopes for survival.
Opinions
Of this time, individuals, no matter the age, differed critics pertaining the workings conditions. Some believed it to be a death game while other persieved it to be a wonderful area where they are compensated money.
Conditions
Though perceived by some as a wnoderful place, the condition for all is quite depressing. Enough to elavate possibilities of employee deaths.
Working "Class"
During these times, majority of the laborers were those of the female class. Not like the rules of modern society, the female workers were those of any age.
