Sports of China.

Sports in China are very diverse yet similar to sports participated in by other nations across the globe. Their physical ability may not be as strong as other nations in the world, but they still participate in many forms of psychical fitness. Here are some of the main sports China:


  • Football (Soccer.)
  • American Football.
  • Table Tennis.
  • Badminton.
  • Basketball.
  • Volleyball.
  • Ping Pong.
  • Weiqi.
  • All forms of martial arts.
One of China's most popular athletes is Yoa Ming. Yoa is a professional basketball player born in 1980. He plays in the American NBA basketball league. He has played basketball so well that he has been on the NBA Western Conference all star team eight times. He has also participated in the all NBA team five times. One other very famous Chinese sports star is Li Na. Li Na is a tennis star and has been awarded runner up in the Australian Open and the 2013 WTA Tour. She is a three time quarter finalist at Wimbledon and a semifinalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Chinese Entertainment.

Chinese entertainment can be very traditional, but it can also be very modern and unique. One city that is known for its entertainment is Beijing. Beijing is a large entertainment hub, and is also a site of the 2008 world Olympics. The Shanghai art district is known not only nationally, but globally for the fine pieces of art that is produced there by many artists.


Traditional entertainment is also in China and is still produced to this very day. Traditional Chinese acrobats and circuses perform for thousands of people at a time. There is also many games played at hubs and casinos in China, with the most prominent ones being billiards, snooker, and pool. Martial Arts is another form of entertainment. It is a sport, but is passionately followed by many fans in China and around the globe. Thousands of people will show up to tournaments or matches and is widely practiced as entertainment throughout China.


A very famous Chinese entertainer is Huang Xiao Ming. Huang is a Chinese actor and "heartthrob". He earned 79 million yuan last year, which is equivalent to 12.74 million U.S dollars. Him and his girlfriend, Angela Baby are followed by entertainment media in China.

China's Powerful Economy.

China's economy is a very strong economy and is one of the largest in the world. China is a socialist market economy. This means it is based on the dominance of the state-owned sector and a open-market economy. China's economy is the second largest in the world by nominal GDP. They are also ranked first in purchasing power parity within there economy according to IMF. China is also the fastest growing major economy in the world, even though many skeptics say it will crash.


However, just because there overall economy is good, doesn't mean every citizen is wealthy. China is ranked 72 in nominal GDP by a per capita income basis. The nation is also ranked 84 in GDP by PPP, according to the International Monetary Fund. Eastern coastlines tend to averagely be more industrialized, leaving a majority of the rest of the nation in the dust.


Chinese money is referred to as the "Yuan". One U.S dollar is equivalent to 6.53171 Yuan's. China is very large in exporting goods to other nations in the world, Prominently the U.S. A list of the major exports to other nations from China are listed below.
