Morning Intramurals
Morning Intramurals have begun!! The Intramural Registration Form on the following link is all that is needed to participate https://school.fultonschools.org/ms/crabapple/Pages/Athletics.aspx. Please turn the form into Coach Thomas.
Intramurals are each week Monday-Thursday in the gym. On Fridays, intramurals will be held at the CMS tennis courts weather permitting. A variety of activities are offered each week. Students may arrive at 7:45 am. An intramural leader will let students in the building at that time. If a student arrives after 7:45 they will need to wait until the building is opened to all students at 7:55 and then proceed to the gym.
On Fridays, students may report directly to the tennis courts. Intramurals ends at 8:25 each morning, students may come down anytime to participate. A student may attend as many days as they wish as long as they have turned in the Intramural Registration Form.
If you have any questions please contact Coach Thomas (ThomasJ4@fultonschools.org), Coach Jonsson (JonssonM@fultonschools.org) or Coach Heninger (Heninger@fultonschools.org).

Community News
November is Diabetes Month!
TO CELEBRATE WE WANT TO SUPPORT THE KIDS IN OUR ROSWELL HORNET COMMUNITY WHO FIGHT TYPE 1 INSULIN DEPENDENT DIABETES EVERY DAY OF THEIR LIVES. 40 KIDS PER DAY DEVELOP TYPE 1 DIABETES IN THE U.S. WE HAVE 7 KIDS HERE IN WEST ROSWELL THAT WE WANT TO RECOGNIZE AND SUPPORT IN THEIR FIGHT. PLEASE HELP TO CREATE A WORLD WITHOUT TYPE 1 DIABETES BY SUPPORTING JDRF (JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION) WHO IS ACTIVELY WORKING TO FIND A CURE!!!
SUPPORT THESE KIDS:
KAIDYN ESCALANTE (5TH GRADE MOUNTAIN PARK ES)
ISABELLE AUGHTRY (6TH GRADE CRABAPPLE MS)
BRENNA RUBANT (7TH GRADE CRABAPPLE MS)
RYLEIGH FRASIER (7TH GRADE ELKINS POINTE MS)
LUCY ANDERSON (8TH GRADE CRABAPPLE MS)
LAILA AZIMZADEH (11TH GRADE RHS)
AND JOSEPH BOWIE (11TH GRADE RHS)
TYPE 1 DIABETES (T1D) IS A CHRONIC AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE THAT STRIKES CHILDREN AND ADULTS SUDDENLY. IT OCCURS WHEN THE BODY'S OWN IMMUNE SYSTEM ATTACKS AND DESTROYS THE INSULIN PRODUCING CELLS OF THE PANCREAS. PEOPLE WITH T1D MUST INJECT INSULIN INTO THEIR BODIES EVERY DAY TO LIVE.
TYPE 1 DIABETES IS DIFFERENT FROM TYPE 2 DIABETES IN THAT TYPE 1 MEANS INSULIN DEPENDENCY FOR LIFE, UNLESS WE FIND A CURE!!! T1D ALSO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DIET OR LIFESTYLE -- AND IT'S SERIOUS, STRESSFUL TO MANAGE AND LIFE-THREATENING.. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO PREVENT T1D AND THERE IS CURRENTLY NO CURE.
WE NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU TO PURCHASE THIS SHIRT TO SUPPORT JDRF FINANCIALLY AS WELL AS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THIS DISEASE IN OUR COMMUNITY. DUE TO THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TYPE 1 AND TYPE 2 DIABETES, LIVING WITH THIS DISEASE BECOMES AN EVEN HARDER FIGHT. OUR KIDS ARE CONSTANTLY BEING UNFAIRLY JUDGED ABOUT THE FOOD CHOICES THEY MAKE AND THE ACTIVITIES THEY ARE INVOLVED IN. EDUCATION AND AWARENESS ARE A HUGE PART OF BATTLING THIS DISEASE. WE HOPE YOU WILL WEAR THIS SHIRT AND USE YOUR VOICE TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT TYPE 1 DIABETES WHEN THEY ASK .... "WHAT IS T1D?"
USE THE LINK BELOW TO ORDER A SHIRT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!! JOSEPH’S NAME WILL BE ADDED TO THE SHIRT BEFORE THEY PRINT AND THE FONTS ON THE NAMES WILL ALL MATCH!!

The LAST DATE to order shirts will be OCTOBER 23 We had to set this deadline to get the shirts in time to wear them in November for our kick off month. So….. ACT FAST!!!!
