Career Week

Fishers Elementary School is having College/Career Week the week of March 16th.

If you are interested in coming in to talk with students about your job or career we would love to have you!

Some things that you could talk about are the skills your job requires, what kind of education is required to have your job, what a day on your job looks like, or anything else that can get the students thinking about their futures.

Please let your child's teacher know if you are interested in speaking to our students.

Thank you!

Mrs. Lance

School Counselor

Second Step Home Links

We are continuing our Social Emotional learning using the Second Step curriculum. Students in every grade level have covered topics such as skills for learning, empathy and emotional management. Through the month of March, we will be learning more about problem solving and growing our problem- solving skills.

Below are home links for the Second Step lessons. You can review with your child the concepts that the classrooms have already covered and look ahead to what they will be learning.

These are a great way to get involved in the Social Emotional learning of your child.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me.

Math Superstars

Math Superstars | Fishers Elementary PTO

Math Superstars is a program designed to reward students for completing math challenges in addition to their regular coursework. Every week your student completes a Math Superstars worksheet, they receive points which can be redeemed for prizes in the Math Superstars Reward Store at the end of the school year.

Don’t forget about Math Superstars! Worksheet 22 (included in the 2nd semester packet) is available on the school website at https://fisherspto.com/math-superstars/

Please make sure you print the worksheets assigned to your child’s grade. (To save paper, use the duplex setting on your printer to print on both sides.) Worksheet 22 should be turned into the classroom teacher by March 6th. Please remind your child to put first and last name on the worksheet!

If you are unable to access the worksheets electronically, please contact Mindi Kenney at mkenney39@yahoo.com or (317) 201-6949 to make arrangements to receive paper copies.
