World Down Syndrome Day
This coming Tuesday, March 21st, is World Down Syndrome Day. We have two fantastic students who have Down Syndrome at Bauer. We are inviting everyone to wear mismatched socks to help celebrate the day. Mismatched socks have been used as a symbol to celebrate this day because chromosomes are shaped "like socks" and people with Down Syndrome are born with an extra one.

Watch D.O.G.S
Bauer Dads: has your student been sharing about WatchDOGS volunteers at school? This is a great way to see what a school day looks like for your student(s), play with kids at recess, listen to students read aloud, help out with a few math problems…and to be a positive presence in the building. There are available days we’d love to fill — still plenty of time to get in on the fun!!
The link to sign up for available dates can be found here. And don't forget to complete the background check found here.
If you have additional questions, please reach out to the Bauer WatchD.O.G.S. committee at beswatchdogs@hpseagles.net.
