The Fear in "The Cast of Amontillado"

The fear of betrayal is seen in the story "The Cast of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe when Montrestor betrayed Amontilladao by burying him alive, he took advantage of him by getting him drunk and then burying Amontillado.

"I had finished a portion of the last and the eleventh; there remained but a single stone to be fitted and plastered in."

“Ha! ha! ha!–he! he!–a very good joke indeed–an excellent jest. We shall have many a rich laugh about it at the palazzo–he! he! he!–over our wine–he! he! he!”

The Fear in "Transformers 3"

The fear of being betrayed is still relevant today and can be seen in the movie "Transformers 3", when a business man betray's his own kind. He fight's along side the decepticon's.

Explanation

Both the story and the movie are alike with a person betraying another by killing someone else. They symbolize that you can't trust someone you hardly know, only trust your true and honest friends.
