Non-Negotiable Behaviors at PLA 48

We value our scholars here at PLA 48. We expect them to rise up and meet certain

expectations in the classroom, hallway, cafeteria, and on the bus. We have seen a rise in

unwanted behaviors recently. We value our parental support that you provide to us as we strive to make PLA 48 the best school in the Indianapolis area. We have identified five non-

negotiable behaviors that if scholars choose to act upon severe consequences will result. We

are making you aware so that discussions can be had at home to remind scholars of the

actions they should avoid in order to make their learning experience the best it can be.

The following will result in suspension from school/bus or both:

1. Fighting (this includes play fighting that leads to a further altercation)

2. Using profanity, cursing, or lewd actions or words

3. Leaving designated area without permission (ie: walking out of class)

4. Failure to report to an assigned area (ie: being sent to the dean's office or back to class)

5. Verbal/Physical aggression towards other scholars or adults

There are no exceptions to this rule for anyone. We are safe first here at PLA @48. We will reevaluate the situation at Spring Break to decide if we will drop our mask mandate depending on the status in our community.
