The construction of the Eiffel Tower was difficult. It took 2 years 2 months and 5 days to complete. It took over 300 workers to build the tower, and only 1 death occurred and it was not related to the building of the Eiffel Tower. The tower weighs 10,000 metric tons and has 1,710 stairs.
About the architect
Did you ever wonder who the architect behind the tower was? Let me give you some interesting facts about him. His name was Gustave Eiffel, he was born on December 15, 1832. He died on December 27, 1923 he was 91 years old. He began to build the Eiffel Tower in 1887 and finished in 1889. Gustave Eiffel was also one of the architects for the Statue of Liberty.
