Happy Veteran's Day
Dear Atholton Families,
Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day. This is a day where we take time to reflect and respect our brave men and women for what they have done for our nation in times of peace and in times of war. From the Army to the Air Force, the Navy and Marines, and to those in other service areas as well, we have these courageous people who renounce their own safety for the protection of our freedom and let us live in peace. Please be sure to recognize and thank a veteran today! The Principal’s Advisory Committee (PAC) dedicated a part of their Sunday afternoon to come in and decorate the doors of our teachers who served.
Report cards will be distributed tomorrow. I know the vast majority of parents are up-to-date with grades via Canvas. Nevertheless, please be on the lookout for report cards. More importantly, the window to schedule parent conferences opens tomorrow. Below in an attachment you will find directions on how to schedule a conference. We look forward to partnering with you to ensure your child’s success. For your convenience, a vast majority of our teachers will be holding evening conferences on Monday and Tuesday. Please feel free to contact the front office if you are having issues scheduling a conference online. As a reminder, you must have a current HCPSS Connect account to schedule a conference.
Lastly, our fall sports season came to a close this past week with our fall sports banquet. Thank you to all of our fall student athletes for a great season and a fantastic showing in the playoffs. Thank you to our Athletic Boosters for all of their support this season. This week (Friday) winter sports tryouts begin. Please check out our website for more information.
Once again — Happy Veteran’s Day!
Have a terrific week!
