Raider Recognition
Raider Recognition is a new program designed to improve school climate and encourage positive student behaviors through identifiable character traits including caring, fairness, responsibility, citizenship, respect, and trustworthiness. Students are identified by staff members for exemplifying outstanding character in class, in the hallways, or at-school sponsored events. When a student is honored with Raider Recognition, he/she receives an explanation about why they were chosen, a prominently displayed Raider flag in the main hallway, and an email home to parents/guardians. Students may receive this honor multiple times from different staff members for various reasons. The goal is to "catch students in the act" of doing positive things. We are proud of our students and we believe in giving credit when and where credit is due. In our first week of initiating this program, we had 6 students earn the distinction of Raider Recognition. Energy is transferable...let's keep it positive!

Friendly Reminders from the Attendance Office
ATTENTION: A new policy has been Board approved regarding students being late to school. Every 5 times a student is late to school, those tardies will convert to an unexcused absence. If a student exceeds the 9 absences for a semester class and/or 19 for a full year class, they will be withdrawn from the class and lose credit. **If a student loses credit for attendance reasons, they will not be eligible for Summer School.
Parents: Please make sure you provide the attendance office with the proper documentation when your student is absent from school. Unexcused absences will effect graduation requirements.
