February's Service Project - Trucks for Maddox Toy Drive

Trucks for Maddox Charitable Trust is a non-profit community based toy truck drive in memory of Maddox Derkosh who tragically lost his life in a terrible accident in 2012. The goal of Trucks for Maddox is to bring smiles to disadvantaged children by gifting new toy construction trucks through multiple local charities. Donation boxes for the toy construction trucks will be located outside of each of our classrooms.

February's testimony - Community

This month, the children and teachers will celebrate and learn more about the Quaker testimony of Community. In the classrooms, we define this testimony as caring for others in our families, school, and neighborhood. The Friends General Conference defines Community as "supporting one another in our faith journeys and in times of joy and sorrow; sharing with and caring for each other."

To help celebrate this testimony, Gwynedd Friends School will be putting together a Valentine's Dinner for the families at Hope Gardens. More information from our PSC Group will be sent to you soon.

MLK Day of Service

This year on Martin Luther King Day, Gwynedd Friends was filled with students, parents, grandparents, meeting members, and friends who came to turn this day "off" into a day "on" by working on projects designed to help others in our community. Projects included baking brownies and making lasagna for Hope Gardens families, sewing quilt squares for "QuiltsForKids", filling breakfast bags for Project Home in Philadelphia, making trail mix for the Boys & Girls Club of Lansdale, painting hands for special murals for clinics and centers in our area, creating greeting cards for Ambler Rest Center, and gluing placemats for Meals on Wheels in Ambler.

The children brought great enthusiasm and spirit to the day. Each child left with a name tag that included this quote- "Martin Luther King was a man of peace who had a dream that all people in our nation would be treated the same way". We hope that each child will maintain the enthusiasm for service that they showed on January 18th for years to come.

Tax Information for your 2015 Tuition payments

With tax season nearly upon us, FACTS Management would like to remind you of a feature \ which enables families to quickly and easily create a payment summary.

By simply clicking “View Printable Payments Summary” on the Payments tab, you can retrieve and print a summary of payments for the 2015 year or any other specified timeframe. Each payment summary contains the date range, family name, subaccounts, and our school's Federal Tax ID number.

This feature is sure to help simplify your 2015 tax filing process.

Entering and exiting Gwynedd Friends driveways

To help keep our families safe during arrival and dismissal times, we ask that you enter our parking lot from either 202 or Sumneytown Pike and exit onto Sumneytown Pike, not onto Route 202/Dekalb Pike. This is especially important with the piles of snow that limit visibility at our 202 driveway. Thank you!
