MVMS Family Update
05/26/2023

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!
Only TWO days left........
First of all, thank you so much for the support you have shown MVMS this year. From the donations for Mr. Prince and his brigade, to helping PTO with various donations, and just being supportive of the MVMS community, we are very thankful for you. I hope everyone has a safe and restful holiday weekend and gets to spend quality time with those you love. Don't forget to remember the people that have fought for our freedom that are no longer with us.
The last day of school , Wednesday, May 31st, will be a TWO HOUR EARLY RELEASE....student dismissal will be at 12:36pm. Final grades will be posted on Progressbook beginning June 1st. You can also pick up a hard copy of grades in the office once all fees are paid (if you have any outstanding).
Many of you may have noticed that our school-based health clinic is completed! This is a partnership with Children's Hospital for our community. There is a flyer included in this newsletter to explain the role of this SBHC and how to get in contact with them.
As the weather gets warmer, a few reminders for parents on dress code. Boys need to have shirts on that do not expose their sides. They need to have defined sleeves. ALL shorts need to be MID-THIGH on your child. It is air conditioned in the building so there is no fear of students getting too hot if they choose to wear pants/leggings. Also, there are NO SLIPPERS permitted.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! ENJOY THE EXTRA DAY!

Pick Up and Drop Off Information
Click here for detailed information with pictures on the Pick-Up and Drop-Off procedure for MVMS and MVHS students.
As the weather changes, we notice more students are getting dropped off in the morning in front of the building. Here are a few reminders from the beginning of the year regarding student drop off: Please do not drop off up at the top where buses are dropping students. This creates unnecessary traffic and safety concerns. Please do NOT drop off in the inner loop. This is for MS and HS staff parking. It is very dangerous for students to cross over the 2 lanes of traffic to get to the building-especially with it being dark.
