Virtual Library Tours & New eBooks
As we celebrate National School Library Month, we wanted you to take a virtual tour of some of the most famous libraries around the world. Our phenomenal librarians, Mrs. Casey and Mrs. Yalavarthi, have crafted a Wakelet for you to check out here!
In addition, our librarians have secured additional ebooks for our students, bringing the grand total to 5,700. They have created a MackinVIA tutorial, for students, to show how to use the app to get these literary gems. Click here to visit our library for more information.
"A Place to Be" Offers Support
A Place To Be (APTB) is a nationally recognized, award-winning non-profit organization dedicated to helping people face, navigate, and overcome challenges through practices based in music therapy. They will be offering two free opportunities for LCPS scholars. To learn more, you may click on the flyers: Calming Sessions and A Place to Breathe. In addition, detailed information may also be found on our LCPS Continuity of Education website.
STEP 1: Watch "Wake Up Willard"
STEP 2: Check Google Classroom & E-Mail
STEP 3: Check "Willard Live" for Support
In an effort to offer lab hours for our students, we will be launching Willard Live this Wednesday, April 15. Willard Live resembles office hours and is dedicated time where teachers are available for parent phone calls, e-mail communication, and student support. Teachers may schedule during this time synchronous (students and instructors are online at the same time) learning opportunities. Please reach out via e-mail, if you would like to schedule a parent phone call. You are welcome to reach out at times outside of this schedule; however, we hope this provides a structured time for our student scholars! In addition, please feel free to print out the schedule here.
