We are excited to be finishing the third week of the 2023-2024 school year! IPA has been working hard to establish our school systems and provide structure for our students by utilizing The First
Six Weeks of School. An important initiative that we have this year is embracing specific classroom and school structures that support our school campus. We are creating shared expectations, building positive classroom talk, and building academic stamina. This work is part of our larger school improvement plan and we hope that it helps create a successful school community for our students and staff. Feel free to talk with your student about their classroom community and how the year has started!
All students that are new to the district, are in kindergarten, and sixth grade must have a school physical and immunization records on file at school. Families that are missing documentation have been contacted multiple times by our office via phone, letters, and email. If your student is missing any of the above documentation, they will be excluded from IPA on September 5, 2023.
Car Rider Line Entry/Exit
Please do not make left turns into or out of the car rider line. This helps prevent traffic congestion and increases family and community safety.
Dropping Off Students
Please remember to drop off your students at the numbers. Please do not let them exit the car prior to arriving at the car rider numbers.
There is no school on Monday, September 4 and Monday, September 25.
There is an early dismissal on Monday, September 18, 2023. All K-8 students will be dismissed at 12:35. Students will arrive home on busses two hours earlier.
NWEA MAP Testing
Our school district utilizes NWEA MAP as a benchmarking assessment for students in grades K-8. Our students are currently completing their MAP tests in grades 1-8 (kindergarten is excluded in the fall). Students in grades 1-5 are tested in either Spanish or English literacy and mathematics. Students in grades 6-8 are testing in both Spanish and English literacy as well as mathematics. Scores will be shared with families once the tests area all completed.
