*HIGHLIGHTED EVENTS*
Chandler Education Foundation Cash For Classroom Grant Winners
Congratulations to Mrs. Allison Engstrom, Technology Teacher, and Mrs. Kristin Tollefson, Library Media Tech!
Mrs. Engstrom was awarded an $800 Grant which she will use to purchase new, over the ear headphones to use with iPads in Technology Lab.
Mrs. Tollefson received a $500 Grant which she will use to purchase audiobooks that students can download through their Destiny login. Having access to these will allow students to listen to stories that they want regardless of book level including popular books like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Where the Red Fern Grows, Charlotte’s Web, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Holes, and more. Audiobooks will also help students with their vocabulary, improve comprehension skills, and foster a love for reading by providing an engaging experience without limiting them to a level.
*Mrs. Engstrom is on maternity leave but that did not stop Mr. Smith and Mrs. Lerma from calling her at home to give her the great news!
