Welcome Back!
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. This week marks the start of my 21st year in education and I still get the same nervous excitement for the first day of school that I did when I was a kid! I know that starting remotely with students is not everyone's ideal, but appreciate your willingness to work together to ensure that this fall is a great learning opportunity for your child.
Class assignments are available in Skyward on Monday, August 31. If you follow the directions to log in you can see who your child's teacher will be this year. You will also receive an email from School Messenger with class placement information.
Student supplies will be available for pick up on Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1 from 9:00-6:00 p.m. In the supply bag will be a copy of your child's Clever badge, printed parent guides on how to access Seesaw and Google Classroom, schedules, and information about how to log in to teacher Google Meets.
Before the first day of school make sure your child charges their Chromebook or device. If you need to check one out please come by the school Monday and Tuesday from 9:00-6:00 p.m during supply pick up. We have a limited number of hotspots to hand out to families without internet this week. For those of you that requested a hotspot due to poor internet and/or multiple users we will have more available the week of September 14.
The first day of school is Thursday, September 3. We look forward to kicking off another great year together at Twin City Elementary!
