End of Semester 1: Thursday, January 16, 2020 is the last day of semester 1. Official grades/report cards will be mailed home on Friday, January 24, 2020. Semester 2 begins on January 21st.

UPDATED on Jan. 13th at 9:00 am Attention 7th Grade Parents: Medieval Times Field Trip is Tuesday, Jan. 14th: Students need to arrive to school no later than 7:30 am. Buses will depart at 7:50 am and return some time between 3:00 pm and 3:45 pm, depending on traffic.

Attention 8th Grade Parents: On Jan.21st 8th graders will walk with their teachers to Coronado High School to attend a CoSA (Coronado School of the Arts) preview at 2:15 pm.There is also a parent and student evening preview at 6:00 pm on Jan. 21st.

Bus Schedule: To ensure equity for all students, early and late pick-up/drop off will reverse at 2nd semester. Please review the Semester 2 Bus Schedule for details. Students will receive new bus passes when the new schedule goes into effect on Tuesday, January 21st. Semester 2 Bus Schedule Link

Lost and Found: Items are kept in Granzer Hall and are available for students to look through every Friday at lunch when they're set out in the quad. At the end of each 9-week grading period, all unclaimed items will be donated. Please encourage your student to check the lost and found when one of their items has gone missing. All unclaimed items will be donated on January 16th.

Teacher Work Day Breakfast: It's the end of semester 1! Let's treat our wonderful CMS teachers and staff to a little Morning Pick Me Up this month!! Please drop off food items Thursday, January 16th. Hot coffee can be dropped off Friday, January 17th at 8 am in the Staff Lounge.

Message from President Pate and CMS ASB:

ASB is excited to kick off second semester! We are already starting to plan our second dance of the year as well as a fun little school fundraiser for Valentine’s Day! Stay tuned for more details to come soon!

17th annual Pasta for Pennies Fundraiser: The Junior Optimists are excited to kick off this Monday! The fundraiser will take place from January 27- February 13th. On Monday, students will receive a letter about the fundraiser as well as a personal coin box for donations. Our goal is to raise $4,000 dollars for The Leukemia and Lymphoma society as a school. The T3 that collects the most money per person will be awarded a pasta party from The Olive Garden restaurant!

Time: 8am-12pm Location: CMS Room 208

Description: Students will create and write about their own fantastic creatures using mixed media. To create their creature and world, students can bring in materials from nature (leaves, flower petals, shells, etc.)

Please turn in all permission forms to the front office by Thursday, January 23rd.
