Additional picture day information

Under the current limited contact conditions, online is the preferred method of ordering. It is Easy, Secure and Safe. There will be a limited amount of order envelopes available at the school for those that require one for payment. Please note that school dress code will be in effect. If you have any questions, please call Grads Photography at 623.580.4723.

Social distancing and other precautions will be taken during the event for everyone's safety.

Lost and found

Lost and found items are located in the Multi Purpose Room (Cafe). Lost jackets are hanging on the outside stage wall near the exit door. Lunch boxes and water bottles are placed on the milk bins as students enter the lunchroom. Please help us to get these items back to their owners by writing their full name on them with a Sharpie. Thank you so much!

When submitting a home Covid-19 test, IT IS REQUIRED for you to write your child's name and the date of the test on the test itself before sending a screenshot to Nurse Lisa @ lisa.salihar@dvusd.org.

COVID-19 Symptoms

If your child shows any signs of illness or symptoms of COVID-19, he/she should not go to school.

According to the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, COVID-19 symptoms include:

o Fever or chills

o Cough

o Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

o Fatigue

o Muscle or body aches

o Headache

o New loss of taste or smell

o Sore throat

o Congestion or runny nose

o Nausea or vomiting

o Gastrointestinal Symptoms (Stomach Ache, Diarrhea, Nausea or Vomiting)

Parents should follow the DVUSD Return to School "On Campus" Operational Safety Plan.

For more infromation about symptoms, visit the Maricopa County Department of Public Health Symptoms and Risk webpage.

This list does not include all possible symptoms. Local, state and national public health agencies may update this list as they learn more about COVID-19.

Bus Evacuation Drill

Monday, October 25th, all DC students will participate in bus evacuations. This simply means that each student will board a DVUSD school bus, be informed what they are to do in case they are on a bus that needs to be evacuated, exit the bus and return to class. Do not be alarmed if you happen to see or hear about this safety procedure.

Tik Tok Trend Involving Theft & Vandalism

A recent topic trending on TikTok is called “Devious Licks” where students commit vandalism or theft on school property and show off what they’ve taken in their own social media posts. Unfortunately, this trend has made its way to our school.

We ask that our DC families speak to their children about social media, current trends taking place, and how these temporary fads can ultimately impact their future. We want nothing more than our students and staff to take pride in their campus and respect the property.

Please know that damage and/or theft may be reported to local law enforcement and will result in disciplinary action and restitution.

Thank you for your support.
