Rocket Register

2017-2018 END-OF-YEAR EDITION

Principal's Message

We have wrapped up an eventful year, to say the least! I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our families who were new to Robison, and I truly hope that you have all had a great year. The excitement for summer has been brewing, and now the time is finally here! I wish all of you an amazing summer. I look forward to hearing about the memories created when our Rockets return on Monday, August 27. I know our fifth-grade students will make Robison proud as they continue their learning adventures in middle school!

This summer, Robison will be gaining a secured vestibule, which means our front office is being relocated to the very front of our building. Along with this safety feature, there will be changes to your entry into the building. Once the construction is completed, we will share what those changes will be. Follow our social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) for updates throughout the summer.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support this year! We are looking forward to 2018-2019 as we focus on #RESsuccess!

Cy-Woods Seniors Visit Robison!

For the third year, graduates of Cy-Woods who attended Robison, were honored by our staff and students. This has become a great tradition which consists of a parade through our hallways with all of our staff and students cheering on these seniors. There were cheers and tears throughout our hallways. Our staff looks forward to this special event, and we are honored to always have such a large number of graduates attend this event. Here are a few pictures from this special day!

Principals of the Day

Jaylene Tapia and Daniel Krueger earned "Principals of the Day" for achieving the top girl and top boy for Boosterthon pledges. They worked hard from the morning announcements until dismissal! They assisted with many tasks in the office, helped the administrative team with a win in a kickball game, delivered Sonic drinks to teachers, and made our end-of-day announcements. Congratulations Jaylene and Danny! They looked a little exhausted by the end of the day. :)

School Supplies for 2018-2019

School supply packets will be available for purchase online at www.educationalproducts.com/shoppacks

Our school code is: ROB097 (the first three are letters, the last three are numbers)

The deadline for ordering is June 24, 2018. Be sure to order your child’s supplies for NEXT year’s grade level. Extra packets will not be ordered. This is not a fundraiser for the school, so package prices are less than what you purchase in a pre-made packet at grocery stores. All students are also bringing home a supply list in their report card should you choose to purchase these supplies on your own. The great thing about the packets, besides the convenience, is that the supplies are exactly what is on the list.

Thank You

We are so grateful for the generosity of the Tapia family. As a kind gesture, they decided to weed our garden in front of the school and plant all new flowers. The flowers look amazing and make our school look even more beautiful! Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Tapia!

Thank You, Exxon

Once again, Robison was an Educational Alliance Math & Science Grant recipient. This extra $500 will allow us to order materials specific for math and science. We appreciate the partnership that Exxon has with Robison and many other schools.

Robison Alumni Scholarship

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Robison Alumni Scholarship. Two graduating seniors were presented with $1,000 scholarships! These two former Robison Rockets are Asha Richards and Kyle Ransleben. Thank you for your generosity and support of this tradition at Robison! This was our second year to award scholarships. In the past two years, we have offered a combined total of $4,400 in scholarship money! Way to go, Rockets!!

Pick Up of Report Cards and Other Items

If your child was not here the last day, or if they left items that you would like to pick up, please stop by the school between 9 am and 4 pm (Monday-Thursday) between now and June 21. We will hold these items for summer only, and then all items will either be discarded or shredded. Due to construction, you might be able to come through the front door, but if not, please call 281-213-1723. You may also email to set up a time to come (sally.hall@cfisd.net). Student awards (end of year and for the grading period) will be in the report card envelope. Thank you!
