College Wear Wednesdays
If you are wearing "College Wear", snap a selfie and email it to the webmaster so we can post it to the web.
This Wednesday and every Wednesday through December, please show your support for our seniors as they "gear-up" for the college application season by wearing the apparel of your favorite college, university, or institution of higher learning.
Picture Make Up Day
Underclassman make-up picture day is Thursday, Oct. 25.
If students taking re-takes are dissatisfied with their original portrait package, they MUST bring the old package to the photographer to receive a new package.
Order forms are in the main office. See Ms. Kim in A208 to get a pass for retakes and email her if you have questions.
FAFSA Assistance
Seniors and parents/guardians,
If you or your student is college bound, it is recommended that the FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, be submitted on line at fafsa.gov. It is free and is the form that is used for financial consideration for college including 2 year, 4 year and technical schools. It is through the FAFSA that students can be considered for all federal, state and institutional aid including grants (free money), student loans, parent loans, and work study.
If you missed FAFSA Fever on Sunday at MC, and need assistance with the FAFSA, you can get free help at Blake on Monday, October 29, during lunch or on Tuesday, October 30, afterschool with the help of financial aid advisors. You can sign up for a 30 minute slot with Mrs. Prochnow by either stopping by the Career Center or by emailing her at Deborah_A_Prochnow@mcpsmd.org There are 5 spots available every 30 minutes from 11:00 am to 11:30 am and from 11:30 to 12 noon on 10/29 and from 2:30 – 3:00 pm; 3:00 – 3:30 pm, and 3:30 to 4 pm on 10/30.
