At The Grange

Chef Odette Sprenger is a professional chef who lives in The Meadows. She has over 45 years of experience cooking Belgian and French cuisine, has worked for celebrities in California and she has even owned and operated her own bistro for 19 years with her husband Herman. Chef Odette teaches monthly classes at The Grange in which she demonstrates how to create a gourmet meal, gives you the recipe and you get to enjoy eating the meal at the end. With small class sizes and a different menu prepared each time, there is much to be learned and fun to be had.

Monthly Menus

October Menu

October’s menu features turkey and pork meatballs cooked in Pilsner beer, onion and Belgian endive. This dish is known as Fricadelle. The dish will be served with a Belgian endive salad tossed with apples and walnuts. The dessert will be a French apple cake cooked in a light custard.

November Menu

You’ll impress all of your guests with this Thanksgiving themed menu. The course will start with a sweet potato soup. The main entrée will be roasted turkey with a tangerine glaze. The sides will be an apple, apricot and sausage stuffing, cranberries and a bourbon sweet potato puree topped with buttered pecans. The salad will be spinach and endive tossed in a ginger citrus dressing. Make sure to save room for the pumpkin bread pudding topped with cranberry caramel sauce.
