Mission Statement
Important: Stadium Drive Re-pavement!!!
Important Reminders!
Parents and Students, it is extremely important that everyone understands that ALL students must leave or be picked up immediately after school at 2pm. If your student is staying after school for tutoring, sports practice, detention, etc., they must report directly to their after school activity and be under adult supervision. At no time is a student allowed to “hang-out” in the parking lot or anywhere on campus.

Attendance
Please turn in all attendance notes to Ms. Benke at the guidance desk. All notes must be turned in within 2 days of absence. Absence notes must also have your name, ID#, date(s) you were absent and the reason for the absence. If you are absent for more than 5 days, you must have a doctor's note. Also, if you are checked out during the day, you will need to turn in a note for the periods missed.
Tardies and Early Check Outs
Students need to arrive on time and stay through dismissal so they will receive important directions, class instruction and avoid disrupting other students. Parents can set a good example by encouraging students to follow the school’s time schedule. All parents must report to the front office when picking up their child prior to the regular dismissal time. (From Pasco County Schools Student Code of Conduct)
Check out Procedure:
- Present written note from parent/guardian to front desk before 9 AM for same day check outs. (emailed notes not accepted)
- Front Desk Secretary (Jackie Floyd) verifies note with parent/guardian
- Student checks out at front desk at the designated time.
- Attendance is updated in myStudent by Time and Attendance Secretary (Jill Benke). Recorded as “L” in period in which the student checks out. Remaining periods are recorded as “U” unexcused absence until documentation is submitted in writing to the Attendance Secretary. If check-out is for a Medical or Dental Appt. written verification from them is requested. If student checks out “sick” a written parent note is requested. Notes must be turned in within 2 days of return to school.
Students who leave campus without following checkout procedures are considered “skipping” and absence(s) will not be excused.

Progress Reports:
As we begin the 5th week of the 3rd quarter, Students, please take a few minutes and review your progress. Students and parents will be able to view 3rd quarter progress reports on Friday, February 7th. Also, do not forget that if you earned an F in any class for 1st semester, please make sure you stop by and see your counselor. You may be eligible for either night school or an extended school day program that will allow you to recover the credit you lost during 1st semester. These two programs begin this week. If you have any questions about the grades or the attendance for a particular class, please contact the teacher. If you would like to schedule a parent/teacher conference, please contact Mrs. Benke at 352-524-5539.
Tutoring:
We will continue to have Weekly free tutoring is still available. If your student is in need of tutoring in any subject area, please have them talk with their teachers or an administrator.
Stadium Drive Re-pavement:
On Tuesday, February, 4th, thru Thursday, February 6th, Stadium Drive will be re-paved. This will require a new traffic pattern during the process. All student drivers will enter and exit using the bus loop as the buses will be taking a different traffic pattern. It is crucial that everyone please be patient and give yourself a few extra minutes to arrive and depart from school during this time. There will be staff and cones to help mark the new traffic patterns. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
