Google Classroom
* Set up your Google Classrooms for all of your classes
* Get in touch with students/parents that have not enrolled or checked in and find out why. Do they need a device or not have internet? Fill out the survey here. Were they unaware? Remind them to check www.caddoschools.org, www.herndonmagnetschool.com, and the Herndon Magnet School Facebook page for updates
* Post some easy tasks/assignments for students and parents to figure out how to use and become more comfortable with using Google Classroom
* Attend virtual classes provided by Caddo as needed to be prepared to deliver on-line instruction.
* Caddo Digital Resources will go live for download at 3 PM
* If you have students that receive inclusion services, add Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Weeks as teachers to your Google Classroom so they can provide services.
March 30 - April 3
* Use the Caddo Digital Resources found here and your Tier 1 Curricula Resources as the primary resources for the assignments that you create.
* Info on ways to differentiate instruction via distance learning is available under the How-To Guides here.
* Work with aides, paras, and inclusion teacher to ensure that you are prepared to provide students with their accommodations. Document all accommodations provided.
* Continue to provide RtI to students who need it. Document all RtI lessons provided.
* Learn about Microsoft Immersive Reader here. This platform will provide accessibility features such as text-to-speech, syllabication and color-coding of words, highlighted text, the ability to manipulate font size, etc. to all students.
* Students can pick up devices March 30, 31, and April 1 from 10 AM - 1 PM. We will publish details about specific guidelines for pick-up soon.
April 6 - ?
* Post 2-3 lessons per week per core subject and French.
* Post 1-2 lessons per week per elective.
* Post all lessons for the week on Monday. (This will help those with sporadic internet to be able to go to a place with wi-fi and download the assignments for the week)
* Please schedule assignments to post between 8 AM and 3 PM. We have night owls and early birds on staff. We need to be mindful of the notifications going through at proper hours.
* Absolutely NO grades are to be posted to JCampus

* Remember that beginning March 30 you are supposed to be "at work" virtually. Do not post pictures on your social media of you at the beach, in the mountains, or "vacationing."
Herndon News
* Monday, March 30 - Wednesday, April 1, from 10 am - 1 pm, we are scheduled to distribute devices to students that have made the request. Info will be posted to home page and social media soon.
* School will be open for you to get supplies out of your classrooms on Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31 from 8 to 10 AM or 1 to 3 PM. Please remember that we must practice social distancing and cannot congregate in groups of more than 10 people.

* Moby Max is available free and students have been uploaded
* ABC Mouse, Adventure Academy, and Reading IQ are free - our school code is SCHOOL3673
* There are many zoos, museums, national parks, and historical places that are offering FREE virtual tours at this time - here are a few to check out. St. Louis Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens @ 3PM each day via their Facebook page, British Museum in London, National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and my personal favorite - the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.
* Additional links to lists of virtual tours - 5 National Parks, 12 museums, 14 more museums, virtual field trips, We are Teachers virtual field trips, there are so many resources and ideas out there. I will continue to post them on the school's Facebook page and our faculty group page.
* Encourage your students to participate in DP's Daily Challenge. Comment on their posts when you see your students. It has been uplifting to see their smiling faces yesterday and today!
