Big picture

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2022! We hope this new year will bring many great things for all in our Kruse Community.

Speaking of amazing Kruse Community, we love how fast people were to help another parent get out of the snow on Tuesday morning! You all are awesome.

Annual Holiday Giving Program- A Huge Success

Thank you to everyone who was able to donate items, gift cards, time or money to this program. Over 30 families had filled out requests for help and because the Kruse Community is always so generous all requests were met. Close to $3,000 dollars in gift cards were also donated to the families. A big thank you to our Holiday Giving Program coordinator, Natascha Palmer. She spent countless hours organizing, making sure all the needs were met and the program ran smoothly.

Thank you 100% Chiropractic

We'd like to give Dr. Brock, Dr. Martin and their staff at 100% Chiropractic a huge shout out, they helped us fill multiple families wish lists!

Thank you for your generosity!

Staff lounge update

A goal of the PTO for a few years has been to update the staff lounge. It hadn't had new furniture or much majorly done since Kruse opened. Thanks to the Fire House Car Wash fundraiser and donations from a few Kruse Families we were able to create a space that is more welcoming and relaxing. We also want to thank Revive Home Interiors for the design guidance.

So far the teachers have really appreciated the space and the room is being used so much more than it has in years! Here are just a few quotes from our teachers:

  • "It brought tears to my eyes when I saw it! I can’t wait to spend some time in there! Words do not express our gratitude!" Mrs. Katzman
  • "Thank you, thank you to each of you for taking the time to make our work world a lot warmer and enjoyable." Mr. King
  • "Thank you so much for the amazing transformation of the teacher break room! We appreciate all the thoughtful planning, time, and effort you put into the new space! I felt so peaceful eating lunch in there yesterday." Mrs. Kirby
  • "It’s amazing! It really does feel peaceful and it just looks so nice!" Mr. Anderson

Family Skate Night at Rollerland

Friday January 28th from 4-8 Rollerland is hosting Kruse Elementary for a private family skate night! Head over to the rink right after school to take advantage of the rink being just ours for the afternoon. $6.00 admission and $3.50 skate rentals.

There is also a Fun and Game Special for $11. The Fun and Games Special includes unlimited skating, unlimited playground, 2 runs in the laser maze, and 12 arcade tokens, and free skate rental if needed.

Welcome Back Clubs at Kruse

We've been missing our extra curriculars at Kruse. Due to the pandemic we had to put on hold most of our clubs. But we're excited to be bringing back after school clubs. These are just a few that we have in the works:

Foreign Language Club, Lego Robotics Club, Art Club, Chess Club, and 5th grade Yearbook club.

We would love to sponsor a Fitness/Wellness Club and Odyssey of the Mind but we are in need of parent volunteers to organize and run them. If you are interested in helping with the fitness club or Odyssey of the Mind or even have another type of club you would like to see at Kruse contact us at kruse.elementary.pto@gmail.com

Keep an eye on weekly emails for ways to register for these clubs.

*Due to the ever changing pandemic we will adjust club precautions and meetings to best keep your students and our staff safe and healthy.

The Marquee is here!

Over winter break our new Kruse marquee has been installed. We'll be excited to see how the new technology will be used. Thank you to everyone who has supported this project through the annual fundraisers.

Get Involved with the PTO

Because our children are constantly getting older that means the PTO is ever changing. It is a good thing because with new PTO volunteers comes new ideas and fresh perspective. Consider getting involved in the PTO, we are always looking for more help. The more people involved the more we can do. Feel free to reach out to us at Kruse.elementary.pto@gmail.com to talk to us about how you can get involved.

Amazon Smile

As we head into the holiday season and we start to purchase gifts and items off Amazon, we wanted you to know that there is a way to earn money for Kruse while shopping. Follow the link to sign up to support Kruse through Amazon Smile.
