EWRSD Weekly Update
December 9, 2022
Thank you to Alison Sharpe, a Hightstown High School senior, who selected Walter C. Black Elementary School to be the recipient of her Gold Award project.
Alison designed and built a Music Wall for the playground where younger students will have the opportunity to make music during recess.
Third, fourth, and fifth-grade students at Grace N. Rogers Elementary School ended Trimester 1 with Dash Bots! Students learned how to use block coding to complete various challenges.
Mrs. Holcombe had an impromptu lesson about owls with her new owl puppet. Students enjoyed dissecting owl pellets and reading the book "Whooo Knew? The Truth About Owls".
Next year’s plants are already beginning their life journeys as last year’s plants are laid to rest with Project Green at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School.
Melvin H. Kreps Middle School students are part of the Pop Warner Junior Varsity cheerleading squad. The team competed in Nationals in Orlando, Florida this week and placed third in their division of JV level 3 Medium. The students went up against eight teams and the scores between 1st and 3rd were 1.50. Congratulations!
Hightstown High School Girl’s Swim Team beats Nottingham 125-29!
Thank you to everyone that came to see Hightstown High School's 26 Pebbles this past weekend.
