Timber rattlesnakes can live up to 16-22 years.They have brown or black skin.They can grow up to 36-54 inches. They eat rodents and moles and small rabbits. The things that eat the snake are coyotes and bobcats,foxes,hawks and owls. The reason why the timber rattlesnake is endangered is because of all of the human factors. They do not interact with humans.They are a part of the pit viper family. They will only strike when they feel the need to.
