Absentee ballots must be postmarked by MONDAY
This is your last chance to participate in the Ohio primary election! Make sure your absentee ballot is postmarked by Monday (April 27) or hand-delivered directly to your local board of elections office by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Important election for Loveland Schools
Our schools have an important operating levy on the ballot. Although the timing is unfavorable, the district's critical need for operating funds has not changed. Please refer to the "Operating Levy for Loveland Schools" web page, including the UPDATED FAQ, and the "Levy Impact" infographic for a quick overview of what happens if the levy passes and what happens if it fails.
Ongoing curricular adjustments
With Governor DeWine’s recent extension of school closure through the end of this school year, Loveland City School District continues to plan and refine what learning looks like in our current environment. While we, too, are concerned about the loss of instructional time with our students, compounded with the learning loss associated with summer break, we are implementing some curricular adjustments to be responsive to what we know at this time.
Teachers are making adjustments within their curriculum to ensure that the material covered throughout the remainder of the school year focuses on the essential standards that students would have typically been engaged in if they were in the physical school space. Teachers will also be planning instruction in the fall that necessitates some review and reteaching from the previous grade’s/course’s essential standards.
While we recognize that this remote learning model is not ideal nor desirable for all of our Tigers, Loveland City School District will make decisions about summer and fall learning options as additional guidance is provided by state and local health agencies.
