I am pleased that it may take parents and guardians more than just a few minutes to scroll through our newsletter each week! Lincoln, even amidst the pandemic, continues to strive to offer opportunities for students and always has information to share with families.

At this time, I am able to share that Lincoln Parent/Teacher Conferences will be offered from 3:30pm - 7:30pm on the following dates:

Monday, November 1, 2021

Thursday, November 4, 2021, and

Wednesday, November 10, 2021

More information about Lincoln conferences will follow in the weeks ahead, but families may want to take note of these dates.

Dr. Gorr recently emailed all district families regarding the implementation of Shield testing, which will start at our school next week. Parents will receive more information from Lincoln in the next several days about how this testing will work in our building.

Read on for plenty of more important messages . . . and have a great extended weekend,

Paul Suminski

Amazing Amigos/Peer Partners Club

. . . is a club for any students interested in making new friends while creating fun activities. It was created to provide students in the SOAR classroom a natural opportunity to get to know their peers. Students will meet twice per month. The Peer Partner activity dates will have students preparing fun activities for the monthly Amazing Amigos Club. Meetings begin Thursday, September 23rd, and permission slips can be found in the commons.

See Ms. Hirsch in room 306, or Ms. Luce in room 103 if you have any questions!

Lincoln’s annual Vision and Hearing Screening will take place on Thursday, November 4. Please remind your child to bring their glasses to school on that day. Please note that not all students are screened, this is determined by state mandates. Also, vision screening is not a substitute for a complete eye exam by an eye doctor.

Attention 8th Grade Parents of students who wear glasses or contacts: Please email Mrs. Smith, RN, ( with the date of your child’s last eye examination.

Please call the health office with any questions or concerns.

Where is my child’s lunch bag, it never makes it home? If your child is missing his or her lunch bag, be sure to remind him or her to check the cafeteria or the Lincoln Lost and Found. Lunch bags, unfortunately, can not remain in the Lost and Found cubbies for too long. Because of food debris left in lunch bags, we have to dispose of unclaimed lunch bags in about a week’s time. Look for your lunch bag right away. Parents are welcome to check the Lost and Found as well. PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR LUNCH BAG and it stands a much better chance of being returned to you.

Dropping off a lunch? Fast food (i.e., Jimmy Johns) can not be ordered for delivery as a student lunch. We can not manage fast food deliveries for the student body in the school office. Parents may drop off fast food items, label the lunch, and place the items in the office. Parents may not bring items such as pizzas or birthday cakes for students to share during their lunch period.
