3 Types of Speed
Average, Instantaneous, and Constant Speed
Average Speed
Average speed is the total distance traveled divided by the total time of travel. It can be calculated using the relationships among speed, distance, and time.
Instantaneous Speed
Instantaneous speed is the speed at a given point in time. For example the speed on a speedometer changing.
Constant Speed
Constant speed is the rate of speed without any acceleration or regression without changing direction of movement.
Constant Speed
Ball on a string, going in different direction but at a constant speed.
Instantaneous Speed
Shows the instantaneous speed - the speed at one instant time.
Average Speed
Shows the total distance traveled by the car.
