Three Days to Go!
Happy Last Friday of the School Year!
While we are always excited to teach that last class, post that last grade, and close up the school year, this particular year brings an extra-special, "Whew!" with it. You all have done a spectacular job building the remote learning plane as it flew, and my hat is off to you. I am humbled to work with colleagues who so willingly jump in with six feet to do what needs to be done to keep learning going for our students. Whether it was new technology, collaborating with colleagues in new ways, or finding new talents (Who knew Mr. Mac could rap?!?) not a one of us had a business as usual experience since March 13th. I know you will be up to whatever comes before us for the fall.
Thank you to all those who came to school today to help out with the curbside pickup of student belongings. Around half of our families came by, picked up locker items, and returned school materials. It was a success! And all of us now have a reverse golf tan from our masks.
Special Thanks to Austin Sousa for producing and starring in our weekly O'Maley News and for DJ-ing the 8th grade celebration on Wednesday.
Please check out the Coming Next Week section below for some important information. I know I will see a lot of you on Wednesday at the 8th grade celebration, and I am very much looking forward to it.
Best,
Lynne
Post This to Your Google Classrooms for Students, Please!

Coming Up Next Week
Yes! There will be a Weekly Overview for June 15-17. It will be sent out Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. as usual.
We will meet Tuesday, June 16 as a full staff 1:00-2:00 pm. 1:00-1:30 we will hold typical meeting, and 1:30-2:00 will be allocated as time for you to complete the survey created by the Remote Learning Advisory Committee for Teaching and Support Staff. As mentioned at our meeting on Wednesday, your input is essential to creating a plan for the fall. If you would like to preview the survey questions, or even complete the survey on your own time, here is the link:

Student Belongings Curbside Pick-up, Take 2: I am planning a second round of locker items pick-up for Wednesday morning 7:00-9:00 a.m. We are going to distribute from the front hallway, and I could use a few pairs of hands if you are willing and able. Please email me!
Building Entry for Items and Room Cleaning
If you haven't been able to come in yet, needed to reschedule, or need additional time, please complete the form below. I know I mentioned wanting to get people in by June 19, but if that isn't possible, we can arrange another time.

Stipend Positions for Next Year - Please see this list of who is filling positions. Thank you to all of you who put your names in.
8th Grade Celebration
We will celebrate our 8th graders departure from O'Maley with a family car parade along the O'Maley driveway. Designated 6-foot distances will be marked out for staff to shout (through masks) and wave as our students and families roll through.
Austin has volunteered to DJ, student names will be called out. All certificates, 8th grade yearbooks, and a t-shirt gift from PTO will be mailed. A video will be made for those who cannot attend.
We will need RSVPs from staff so that we can mark off spots to keep everyone at safe distances. Be on the lookout for the form next week.
Purchasing for 2020-2021
Purchase Orders - Due to Christine by June 15th
Over the next few weeks, please finalize orders for next year. If you submitted a wish list in December when I was preparing an estimated budget, please review it to be sure your requests remain the same. You cannot go over the amount you requested, but can change items on your list. Quotes must be included, and must include shipping costs.
Please Make a Copy and use the PO Request Form (also on the Info Hub) to submit your actual request. These must be complete and submitted to Christine before June 15th.
Reimbursement for Purchases - IMPORTANT
GPS will no longer reimburse for purchases of any kind. Please make sure you plan ahead for necessary purchases with approved vendors so that a PO can be approved and issued in time for the purchase to be made. If a company is not a vendor, Christine can assist with getting them on the vendor list...as long as they comply with necessary paperwork to do that.
