Michael Crichton has always done a wonderful job of combining thrilling tales and science, but Jurassic Park does it better than ever. In this novel, Crichton used DNA and cloning to create the prehistoric dinosaurs into our present day. Jurassic Park is an amazing story of how scientists bring dinosaurs back to life in order to create an amusement park for people to come and see them. The Science Behind Jurassic Park
In all of his sci-fi thriller novels, Crichton always includes real life science to make the story more lifelike. He always performs massive research before and during his writings that on his current subject so he can write a more believable story. In Jurassic Park, Crichton describes DNA and cloning to give the readers a better understanding of the Jurassic Park in the story works. He then takes it one step further and makes it science fiction. For this story, Crichton created a new possible way for scientists to obtain the DNA of extinct animals. After Jurassic Park became famous, real scientists actually tried Crichton's method even if it eventually turned out to not work. While Crichton's method may not have worked, that does not mean that cloning does not work. Scientists have been able to use cloning to create animals from the DNA of endangered species. The most famous of the successes of cloning was the sheep named Dolly. Dolly was the first successful birth of a cloned mammal. She was born in 1996 and has been the subject of talk for anyone mentioning cloning.
Several of Michael Crichton's books have been made into movies, but none are as famous as Jurassic Park. The movie is an amazing watch after you have read the book.
