What is a political revolution?
A revolution is an instance of revolving. A political revolution is a change in the government, or when a government is replaced.
French Revolution
The French Revolution was an influential period of social and political upheaval in France that lasted from 1789 until 1799.
American Revolution
The American Revolution was a political upheaval that took place between 1765 and 1783 during which colonists in the Thirteen American Colonies rejected the British monarchy and aristocracy, overthrew the authority of Great Britain, and founded the United States of America.
The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is a fictional novel about a girl who goes into the hunger games and out smarts the government and starts an uprising against them.
The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is a yearly game that in which 2 people, a boy and a girl, is chosen from each district (12 districts) and are put into an arena to fight to the death. Whoever wins gets to live without going hungry and in a big house. In the book, Katniss Everdeen is chosen and when in the games, she outsmarts the capital and makes her and someone else both stay alive and win. When she does this, it starts an uprising and gives the people in the districts hope to over throw the government. Throughout the books it tells how Katniss becomes the symbol of the rebellion and at the end of the books they eventually overthrow the government completely and start a new one.
Costs and Benefits
The costs of a political revolution is it could bring the government down and you wouldn't have laws or order in your society. A benefit is that you could be bringing down the bad government and start a new good one that would be an improvement for the society.
