Coker Coach Notes

December 7, 2015

Busy weeks ahead!

With the countdown to Christmas in full effect, I know that these next couple of weeks will be super hectic and busy. I saw recently a picture on social media that said something like this: December lesson plans: Peel students from ceiling. Repeat. " I'm sure that a lot of you can relate! Please make sure and read all the notes below so that you are caught up on some of the things we have going on this week!

Noticing Notes!

The many wonderful things you plan for students to work on does not go unnoticed! See pictures below of just a few of the many GRRREAT things that I noticed last week!

RTI Calendar & December

My RTI calendar is pretty full for the rest of December. Please do not book any more meetings for December. We will now be looking ahead to January for those. Thanks all! You guys have been amazing at using the RTI calendar, and I hope that you find it easier on you!

HOUR OF CODE

If you attended the training last week with code.org, please plan to utilize the site in some way with your HR this week as you visit the computer lab. Invite me! I'd love to see how your students like the site! And definitely snap a couple of pics and send them to me!

The You Matter Manifesto!

There are 8 statements in the YOU MATTER Manifesto by Angela Maiers. Here's number one:

1. YOU ARE ENOUGH!

Do you know what it takes to make a difference in this world?

You don’t have to be rich or famous. No special knowledge or skills are needed. Whether you are young or old or in-between, you matter.

Every Coker teacher & every Coker cub matters. Yes, it's a difficult job. You are enough.

"The best thing about being a teacher is that it matters. The hardest thing about being a teacher is that it matters every day." Todd Whitaker

GREEN PLC

We will meet Wednesday, Dec. 16th, in my room after school for our PLC meeting.
