CB West Is Proud!

The 2015 Bucks County Children's Museum's Bob Mullen Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Central Bucks West High School Senior Olivia Meyer. Olivia was awarded the scholarship for her efforts over the past two years in organizing over 200 Central Bucks West High School Key Club student volunteers for the children's museum, resulting in a total of 400 hours of community service!

Intelligencer Reality Art Contest

Four of our very talented CB West art students were recognized in the 2015 Intelligencer Reality Art Contest! Every spring, the Intelligencer runs a contest for local high school students to submit original works of art in five categories. This year, the following students from CB West placed in this contest:


Ryan Carbone- First place; 5 Elements (a boat, footwear, an extinct animal, a time-keeping device and the element of surprise)

Laura Duval- Second place; Nightmare

Bre Budaj- Honorable Mention; Nightmare

Evie Boland- Honorable Mention; Song Illustrated

Congratulations to Senior Michaela Althouse for being recognized as the 2nd place winner in the Doylestown Bookshop's Main Street Voices Poetry Contest!


She will be recognized and will be reading her poem at the James Lorah House on May 9.

News From CB West Boys Track

West’s boys track and field team is currently ranked in the top ten in PA in the following six events:


4x200 – Josh Haschetts, Ryan Walsh, Griffin Shields, Christian Bobowicz (New School Record)

4x800 – Andrew Baker, Jake Claricurzio, Carter Zerweck, Rock Fortna (13th in USA)

4x1600 – Rock Fortna, Declan McDonald, Brian Mass, Andrew Baker (New School Record)

800m Sprint Medley – Josh Haschetts, Carter Zerweck, Christian Bobowicz, Jake Claricurzio (New School Record)

1600m Sprint Medley – Joe Brill, Joe Manetta, Evan Henrich, Jake Claricurzio

Distance Medley – Andrew Baker, Christian Bobowicz, Jake Claricurzio, Rock Fortna (New School Record)


The team's overall record is currently 6-0.


West’s boys 4x800 also finished 7th in the Championship of America race at the Penn Relays this weekend.

CB West Students Serve The Community

On April 25, 2015, members of the senior class council were joined by members of the sophomore class council to clean up Pine Run Road in Doylestown as part of the Adopt a Road Program

May Boomerang Asset Award

The Boomerang Award Asset for May is Personal Power - Young person has a healthy sense of personal power. He/She believes they can effect change and make a change in the community.
