A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
A big thank you to all of families that came to the PTA organized Feed My Starving Children event this past Thursday. It was great to see our Paddock students and families volunteering their time to give back to those less fortunate.
As a reminder, classrooms will be having their Valentine's Day parties tomorrow, Monday, 2/14. For these parties:
- Students can bring in Valentine’s Day cards to give to other students as long as there are enough for all of the students in the class.
- Small items (erasers, pencils, stickers, etc.) attached to a Valentine’s Day card are okay.
- No food items, including candy, are allowed to be distributed to other students.
- Students are encouraged to wear something red or pink to celebrate the day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Sincerely-
Jason Christ
Principal

We need at least 20% of parents to complete the survey for results to be included in our final report. The parent survey is available in English and Spanish and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. To complete the parent survey, please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/ and:
- Select Parent survey
- Type County where school is located (Cook)
- Type in schools name (Stuart R Paddock)

3-Tier Bus Schedule and Start Time Change
As a result of moving to a 3-tier bus system, all District 15 schools will have their start times slightly adjusted. At Paddock, the school day will start and end 35 minutes later. Starting February 23rd, the new schedule will be:
Mon - Thurs
8:25 am - 3:05 pm
KDG AM: 8:25 - 11:00 am
KDG PM: 12:30 - 3:05 pm
Friday
8:25 am - 2:15 pm
KDG AM: 8:25 - 10:35 am
KDG PM: 12:05 - 2:15 pm
At Paddock, teacher daily schedules, specials (art, PE music) times, and the lunch/recess schedule will all shift 35 minutes later as well. We believe that doing this will cause the least amount of disruption to the students' learning environment and daily routines. If you have any questions about this, please contact the Paddock main office.
2022-2023 Student Registration
Online student registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. If you have not already started this process for your student(s), please visit our registration page to start this process.
Registration is the first step in getting ready for the up-coming school year. After you register your child online you need to:
Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid.
If you have a student that is starting Kindergarten, entering fourth grade, or entering 7th grade, you are required to prove residency in District 15. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.
All three steps of the enrollment process must be completed prior to the start of the school year. Students of families that, when required, do not prove residency, will not be able to attend class in a District 15 school until the family’s residency is verified.
Community Closet
We are hoping you can help by donating any unwanted clothing items to your school’s yellow clothing donation bin. The bin is located in Paddock's school lobby. Parents or children can place clothing items into their school’s yellow bin during regular school hours. This is a great way to put your children’s gently used and outgrown clothing to good use! All clothing, especially winter wear, is much appreciated and will be put to good use.

Orland Park Dental Services
Community Consolidated School District 15 will be hosting Orland Park Dental Services (OPDS) coming up in March through May. OPDS has provided in-school dental services for all eligible children in the State of Illinois since 1999. Dental services will be accessible to children eligible for public aid as well as for those with private insurance.
Anyone signed up will receive a free dental exam and a toothbrush. For those that qualify or provide private insurance information, the additional services may include cleaning, fluoride treatment, and sealants. All services done will be given to the child in a take-home form describing the services determined, areas of concern, overall oral care score, and any additional care needed. If any additional help is needed for the child a comprehensive list of available local dentists will be given with no limits of insurance. All these in-school services will be provided by licensed dentists, hygienists, and assistants with state-of-the-art portable equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment at your child’s school.

Masks
Please make sure you are sending at least 1-2 additional clean masks with your child each day. These masks should be well fitting and cover both the student's nose and mouth without the student needing to continually pull the mask up. Having a well fitting mask is imperative to keeping our students safe and limiting close contacts, should a positive case arise. Thank you for your help in this.
Health Office
As a reminder, if you student is showing any signs of COVID-19, please keep them home from school. Additionally, if they awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, we encourage you to have them stay home until those results come in. Being able to certify that your student is healthy and able to come to school will be extremely beneficial as we move into the colder months of the year.
If your child has a Health Care plan for asthma or an allergy OR has medication they need to take at school, please make sure you read the linked documents and get in contact with Mrs. Pool, our Paddock nurse. You can reach her at 847-963-5802 or poolk@ccsd15.net.
